How it works · Four steps

Spreadsheet to shop floor.

Set your machine up once, then every batch is an upload and a run. Each new account starts with a machine profile and a sample cut list already filled in, so the first result arrives before you have uploaded anything of your own.

The whole path

Four steps, then a plan.

Only the first is set-up. After that a batch is two actions and a wait.

  1. Set up a machine profile

Load-bar pitch and bar thickness, which together define the widths your line can produce; panel bounds and the span step; frame-bar spans; saw kerf; forging hold. Save it once and reuse it on every batch, and keep one profile per line if you run more than one.

  2. Import your cut list

Upload XLSX or CSV and map your columns. Every row is validated and every piece classified as fine, needing an extra load bar, or needing a split — all before a run is spent. Fix the sheet and re-parse as often as you like; only a run costs anything.

  3. Run the nest

Choose the profile and start. The solver places pieces on the pitch grid, pairs them across the panel width on the side-by-side gap and selects a span for each panel. Most runs finish in one to three minutes; large lists take longer, and you can leave the run and come back to it.

  4. Hand it to the shop

Panel-by-panel layouts, a delivered-width table for every piece, waste broken down by cause, and fabrication notes for extra bars and width joins — exported as a PDF pack, an Excel workbook or CSV that matches what is on screen.

What to expect

How long each stage takes.

Solve time scales with the size of the problem, which is why the row ceiling matters more than the run count.

StageTypicalNotes
Profile set-upOnce per lineReused by every batch afterwards
Import and validationSecondsErrors reported per row and per column
PreflightUnder a secondPure computation; no run is consumed
SolveOne to three minutesLonger for large lists, with a hard ceiling per run
ExportSecondsPDF, Excel or CSV, generated on demand

The same cut list, run again against the same profile, produces the same plan. That is what makes a result safe to quote from and safe to send to the floor.
