A nesting result is only worth the plan somebody can cut from. Every run produces panel layouts, per-piece delivered widths, waste broken down by cause, and the fabrication notes that tell the floor what to weld and what to join.

Structured notes rather than free text. Extra-load-bar notes carry bar positions, delivered width and cut width; width-join notes carry each part with its cut width and trim, the delivered width and the span allowance.
Waste, by cause
Not one number.
A single waste percentage tells you nothing you can act on. Waste is attributed to the four things that actually produce it, so you can see which one is worth attacking.
